*VAC 37/26 TRAINEE ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN NETWORK DESIGN & PLANNING (WESTERN)

The Trainee Electrical Technician will be based at Energy Fiji Limited's Navutu Depot, reporting to the Team Leader Network Design & Planning Western. Responsibilities include processing power supply applications, assessing electrical installations, conducting field surveys, designing network extensions, preparing cost estimates, and coordinating project implementation. Process power supply applications, assess electrical installations, calculate maximum demand (AS/NZS 3000:2000), conduct field surveys for network extension design, design electrical solutions, prepare cost estimates using software, determine customer contribution, prepare quotation letters, coordinate project implementation files, assist Network Design Engineer with distribution system augmentation, address design issues (safety clearance, asset relocation), conduct safety visits/audits, ensure Health and Safety, assist Design and Planning team, and perform delegated duties.

Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized Institute. Must demonstrate an understanding of basic power system analytical techniques and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. A valid full Group two driver's license (manual transmission) is mandatory.
