Job Description
South Sea Cruises Group (SSCG) is Fiji's most experienced marine tourism operator, offering award-winning products and services throughout the Mamanuca & Yasawa Islands. SSCG operates a modern fleet of fast catamarans, an overnight cruise ship, a modern sailing catamaran, an array of smaller vessels, and Fiji's two most popular day trip islands. The Class 3 Engineer is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and efficient operation of the vessels' machinery and equipment.
Responsibilities
Operate and maintain all main engines, generators, pumps etc.; Perform regular checks of all machinery spaces, including bilges, voids etc. to ensure they are clean, dry and free from hazards; Carry out general R&M works; Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that may arise during voyages and coordinate with the operations and workshop team for any major repairs or replacements.
Requirements
Relevant valid COC and associated short courses; At least 2 years of experience in the above roles; Strong leadership skills and good decision making abilities; Travel daily and work as part of a flexible team given our vessels run 7-days per week.
