Job Description
The position is based at the Energy Fiji Limited's Navutu Depot and reports to the Fleet Services Manager. The role involves ensuring EFL vehicles are in good working condition, coordinating timely repairs and servicing, monitoring fleet support officers, managing records, and ensuring compliance with policies and safety procedures to minimize disruption and maintain operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
Ensure all EFL vehicles are in good working condition and available for operational use, coordinating timely repairs and servicing to minimize disruption. Monitor and supervise Fleet Support Officers and manage running sheets and logbooks for job charges. Maintain comprehensive records of operating costs, including fuel, repair, and maintenance, for submission to supervisors and managers. Liaise with Services Delivery/Compliance Manager on fleet maintenance and arrange alternative transport when necessary. Manage an up-to-date register of authorized drivers, licenses, and certificates. Inform supervisors and drivers of pending Certificate of Fitness (COF) expiry dates for programmed inspections. Continuously maintain the vehicle database and records, collaborating with the Finance Asset Management team. Generate Local Purchase Orders (LPO) by ensuring requisition forms are raised with relevant quotations for authorization. Ensure strict compliance with Finance & Fleet Policies, provide weekly vehicle reports, and assist with new vehicle acquisition. Maintain a clean working environment, conduct vehicle care audits, and adhere to all safety procedures. Perform spot checks on vehicles, audit driver behaviors for "Zero Incident Process (ZIP)", and carry out standby duties for breakdowns, incidents, and accidents. Drive EFL vehicles according to Fleet Manual Policies & Procedures, promptly report Tax Infringement Notices, and perform other assigned work-related duties.
Requirements
The candidate should have a Trade Certificate/ Diploma in Automotive Engineering with completion of five (5) years apprenticeship; A matured person with at least five (5) years' experience in office administration and some garage supervisory skills will be an advantage; Must possess a valid Group 6 and/or 9 driving license and be computer literate and proficient in using Excel spreadsheets.
