generating ideas for new products and researching feasibility in terms of profitability, resource availability and compliance with regulations.

liaising with engineering, research, technical and/or production staff
writing and reading technical papers, reports, reviews and specifications
keeping up to date with relevant scientific and technical developments
organizing NPD meeting and updating trial information on new products
conducting maintenance meeting and provide updates on maintenance
supervising new projects in biscuit developments
determining, negotiating and agreeing on in-house quality procedures, standards and specifications
assessing customer requirements and ensuring that these are met
setting customer service standards
specifying quality requirements of raw materials with suppliers
conducting trials on new raw materials or substitution of existing raw materials
investigating and setting standards for quality, health and safety
ensuring that manufacturing processes comply with standards at both national and international level
working with operating staff to establish standards, systems and procedures
acting as a catalyst for change and improvement in performance and new product development
directing objectives to maximise profitability by working on new tenders
conducting, recording, analyzing and distributing statistical information such as sensory reports.

Requirements
Degree in related subjects such as food science/technology, Food and Nutrition.
