Advance Aviation Training (Fiji) Pte Ltd was founded in 2002 by Wayne & Deborah Hinton. Their aim: To be the leading provider of Professional Pilot Training in Fiji and to set the standard of flight training in the Pacific. The operation was conducted from humble beginnings within two units at the Tanoa Skylodge Hotel in Namaka Nadi. Initially the school was established to offer aviation theory classes including advanced courses such as Airline Transport Pilot Licence theory. In 2003 operations were expanded to include practical flight training and our first aircraft was imported into Fiji, a Cessna 172RG (DQ-AAT). Since that time AAT expanded into aircraft maintenance opening an AMO named AAT Engineering, a 145C aircraft maintenance provider. Today AAT and AATE operate from their own custom built hangar facility containing classrooms, offices and maintenance workspaces located at Nadi International Airport. Currently our fleet consists of training aircraft; Cessna 150’s, a Cessna 172 and a Partenavia PB68 twin engine. We also have a DCX Max Pro-Motion synthetic flight trainer that is used for Instrument Rating training. At AAT our emphasis is on providing our Student Pilots with highly qualified instructors who have available to them a high standard of training aids, equipment and technical publications. Further, we plan to be pro-active in establishing new growth in the Aviation sector to create new jobs for our graduating pilots. The primary courses offered are: • Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) • Airline Transport Pilot Licence (theory) • Multi Engine Command Instrument Rating (MECIR)
